Book #1 from the series: Sassafras Springs Cozy Mysteries

DYING FOR A SLICE

A Poppy Iverson Pie Shop Mystery

About

Murder, mayhem, and meringue - Poppy's got her hands full in Sassafras Springs!

In the heart of Sassafras Springs, where every day smells like pie and resonates with Southern charm, life at Vi's Pies and Bakery is as sweet as it gets for Poppy Iverson. However, when the town's tranquility is disrupted by a dash of murder, the cozy world of baking transforms into a mystery.

When sweet and sassy Velma is accused of a crime she didn't commit, Poppy—along with her spirited Aunt Vi and her quick-talking friend Isobel—finds herself knee-deep in a mystery that carries more intrigue than the scent of apple pie.

Join Poppy in this heartwarming tale of friendship, courage, and a pinch of danger, where the only thing more surprising than the turn of events might just be the recipe for solving a crime.

Praise for this book

"Filled with Southern charm, delectable desserts, and a dash of danger, Dying for a Slice serves up a delightful cozy mystery where small-town secrets—and murder—are just as irresistible as the perfect pie."

"Sassafras Springs is an idyllic southern town that I found myself drawn to, and hope to read more about in future installments. With lovable characters, and a will-they/won't-they love triangle firmly established, I can't wait to see what baked treats and quirky mysteries Poppy and her crew will have up their sleeves next! A must read."

"The artwork on the cover drew me in.
This turned out to be a comfy, cozy read... it did not disappoint.
I fell in love with Poppy and her cast of characters.
The author has a wonderful sense of humor, and I enjoyed it to the max!"

This cozy mystery feels like stepping into life down in Louisiana, where the small town is full of authentic characters that I swear I have met in real life. I like that Poppy works in a pie shop, but she is anything but cookie-cutter. So many cozy mysteries are focused on "cozy" or "mystery", it is nice to read one that is strong in both.
